NIGHT CHECK LIST

 

19:45 Night nurse gets handover report from day staff

20:00 All night nurses and carers gather on ground floor forhandover report and staff allocation

20:15 carer goes round the floor greeting all residents and making sure theyare fine before starting night chores

20:30 security checks on the whole floor making sure all electrical appliances are switched off in the kitchen and staff room.

Tae is served and assistance given to those residents that require help with feeding etc.

21:00 Nurse starts medication round while carer prepare as residents for bed with the assistance of carer from ground floor if necessary.

When all residents have been changed and made comfortable, ground floor carer goes back to ground floor.

22:00 Check and replenish gloves, aprons wipes and incontinence pads in all rooms.

All chairs are brushed down and cleaned off to remove crumbs etc and furniture in the lounges and dining areas put back in position.

(Follow the cleaning list and sign after wards)   

23:00 Night nurse goes down to ground floor for report updates with other nurses

All forms are filled in and replenished for the following day(old one filed appropriately )

Afull round is done to make sure all residents are fine before the break start

(Resident checks are  conducted 2 hourly minimum and when necessary)

01:00 Carer goes a break

All bells are to be answered timeoursly  and those on turn charts to be turned 2-4hourly as per need throughout the shift

02:00Nurse goes for a break

05:00 Residents that are already up are washed and dressed but left in bed as per preference

06:00 Morning tea is served

06:30All yellow stripped pad and laundry bags in sluice rooms to be checked before end of shift and emptied if 3/4 full and replaced accordingly(do not overload)

07:00 Collect all water jugs and send them together with the tea trolley to the kitchen for washing

All P.E.G. feeds equipment is cleaned and new syringes put with clean glasses

07:15 Carer from ground floor comes to help as per need

07:45 Nurse hand over to day shift while carer remains on the floor

08:00-08:15 end of shift.

 

N.B. No music or television is to be played during the except for resident’s use.

Please remember to leave the rooms tidy.

20：00所有护士和护理员到一楼交班并分配楼层

20：15护理员观察患者取保工作前患者无异常

20：30安全检查，确保整个楼层用电安全供给并关闭厨房和工作人员办公室开关，护理员送茶，如不能自理给与协助

21：00护士开始发药，护理员备床，并为患者更换尿垫

22：00检查并将一次性手套、围裙、一次性纸巾盒尿垫送至各室

23：00所有护士集中到一楼报告病情

01：00护理员休息一小时

02：00护理员休息一小时

05：00位患者洗漱更衣，留在床上

6：00送茶

6：30所有医用垃圾和换洗衣服送至洗衣房（医用垃圾装3/4满，不要过重）

7：00收集所有水具及茶车至厨房

7：15一楼护理员到二楼协助工作

7：45夜班交班

8：00-8：15结束工作
